I've been sick for the past week (although that doesn't explain my lack of updates), but this is the best I've felt all week. I'm still taking the day off to rest, so I'm going a bit easy, but I can't resist the urge to clean and do some crafting, especially since I've been lying in bed most of the time.
Getting better feels wonderful. Especially when you've been sick for a long time, like a week. To think you always thought you felt pretty crappy. but you don't realize how good you really feel until you've been coughing so hard your lungs are bound to fall apart. This feeling, "feeling good," is just what we strive for, and it's an awesome feeling. So if you're sick, get some rest so you can feel good immediately.
And don't be like me. Take some time off. You'll feel better.

#6- Break/Vacation
OK, for me, sometimes vacations are so stressful I have a nervous breakdown. But I kid you not, break is just what I've needed for the past few weeks. My college FINALLY went on break after what felt like forever, and it is just what I need to get a lot of my crafting done. No joke, I was dying to get something creative done, but I couldn't do it until break started.
As I post this, I'm waiting for one of my crafts to "finish" (which if you follow my craft blog, you'll probably hear of it soon). I'm very impatient, and this takes about two days to finish... Thankfully I have break to worry about that. xD
Enough about me. Breaks and vacations are what we work so hard for all year. It's something we want nearly all the time, but something tells us we can't have it. But when we have it, the chance comes along, it's so exciting and overwhelming at the same time. So take this opportunity to rest, enjoy the free time, and get some things done while you're at it, because who knows when you'll be available next.

#5- Paper Stars
As Valentine's Day approached, I suddenly realized I had to do something for my boyfriend. Anything was better than the cookie gram I sent him through the school, but in all seriousness, I needed something that showed I took the time and I really liked him. At a loss, I searched on my favorite art site and noticed someone making origami paper stars. After looking at how adorable they were, and how people literally squealed in delight at something so small, I decided that was going to be my gift. A challenge: Make 1000 stars for good luck.
Let me just say, he received the stars. He loved them (and by that, I mean he stared at them for about an hour or so), and the good luck stayed with the both of us. But the joy on his face when he stared at the stars made me smile. I wanted to make more. So many more.
Time passed, and I cannot tell you how many people were stunned I was able to make such tiny little things. I showed them how, even though I suck at explaining how to do it myself, and even started using the stars for practical things like beads. They were so neat, and you could really do a lot of things with them.
Present day, I have a new goal in mind. I want to make a million. Then maybe sell the stars in jars and give the proceeds to charity. I haven't really figured out what to do with the stars yet, to be honest.
But back to the joy. I love these things. Not only are they pretty, but it's so much fun to watch someone stare at you while you're folding one. Their reactions are priceless, and it's so fulfilling when you successfully help them make a cute little star.
I love paper stars. *folds one as she posts*

#4- Babies
Before you ask, I do not have or plan on having any children in the near future. But because we are babysitting, my mother and I are in charge of taking care of an adorable 3 month old baby boy. And that is why babies have landed on my list. Sure, they smell funny sometimes, and changing a stinky diaper is enough to make ANYONE gag. But when you're lying on a couch with a baby lying on top of you, you can't help but smile. It's too damn adorable...

#3- Your Aching Feet After The Best Day Ever
My boyfriend and I love going to the amusement park nearby, especially now since they have a wonderful Halloween event going on. We arrive early, spend some time cuddling outside the front gates, then around 6 we head inside for some wonderful scares. I love it, even though my legs and feet are screaming in pain by the end of the night. They hurt so much that I can barely fall asleep that night without the help of some Ibuprofen, but I can't complain. Sore feet after a day like that are well worth it, because you know you've had a great time. The pain goes away after a while of course, but be a masochist for once and enjoy it while it lasts.

#2- Cold Mornings
It's fall where I live, and college demands I wake up at 7 AM to attend Biology in an hour. While I usually dread mornings, which require getting out of bed, I love when I have to wake up and it's too cold to get out of bed. It gives you more reason to complain and stay in bed longer, curl up under the blankets to gather more warmth. It's wonderful, but sad at the same time. Once you wake up, realize there are places you need to be, then it's time to get up out of bed, even though you should have been out of bed five minutes ago. I know I stall on these cold mornings, since I struggled to get out of bed this morning. But it was worth it.

#1- Your Favorite Clothes Being Clean
I know I'm one of many with a favorite pair of jeans that always fit, a jacket to wear even when it's a little warm outside, it's a guilty pleasure trying to coordinate wearing these at the same time. So it was a little bit of a surprise to me when I noticed both in the clean pile of clothes waiting to be folded. It's a lazy day for me tomorrow, so what better to wear? I even managed to find one of my favorite t-shirts to wear under the jacket, just in case the weather is a little too hot for my jacket.
Admit it. Having your favorite clothes, the clothes you feel most comfortable in, ready and waiting for you to wear them when you just want to have a relaxing day at class or lounging around the house, is a great feeling. Feels even better after a nice, warm bath too.
